Serbian citizen Enisa Leković, who went missing during the devastating floods that hit Nepal, has still not been found, while rescuers have been combing the area for survivors for the fourth consecutive day.

Her family has not lost hope. Enisa's daughter believes that her mother is alive, especially after one of the messages sent to her via WhatsApp was marked as read at around 1:30 p.m. yesterday. However, Enisa has not contacted them since then, and the family still has no information about her whereabouts, Telegraf.rs has learned.

Her last contact with her family was on August 26, the same day the disaster hit northern parts of Nepal. The floods and torrents were triggered after a massive amount of ice, rock and mud collapsed in a mountainous area, sending huge quantities of water and debris rushing down the valleys.

That day, Enisa was traveling by bus from Kathmandu toward Dhunche, on the way to Gosainkunda Lake. The bus was expected to make a stop around 9 a.m. for a break in Trisuli Bazaar. Since then, the family has had no information about Enisa.

In the meantime, the disaster has left scenes of complete devastation in its wake. Water, mud, rocks and ice destroyed homes, roads and bridges, while some areas were cut off. Rescue teams have been searching for missing people for days, but their efforts have been hampered by destroyed infrastructure and difficult terrain.

The areas of northern Nepal through which the roads to Dhunche run have been particularly affected, while foreign nationals who were in the area at the time of the disaster are also among the missing.

As Telegraf.rs has learned, Enisa traveled alone, while her family is in contact with local police and is continuously monitoring all information officially coming from Nepal.

As a reminder, more than 660 people have been killed in the devastating floods that hit Nepal, while more than 3,000 are still missing. Among them are hundreds of foreign nationals.

Enisa Leković's name is included on the published list of missing people, and according to available information, she is the only person with Serbian citizenship on that list.
