FIRST PHOTOS OF HORRIFIC FIRE IN RUSANDA SPA: Sky above Melenci on fire, one person killed!

One person died in terrible fire that broke out around 04:00 this morning in a private facility within the Rusanda Special Rehabilitation Hospital in Melenci near Zrenjanin, in northern Serbia.

The dramatic battle with the fire began in the early hours of the morning, when it engulfed a privately owned building. The photos from the scene show the entire sky over this place literally lit up from the strength and power of the flames.

All available forces were immediately dispatched to the field. 13 firefighters and six fire engines participated in the extensive operation, while local heroes - members of the Voluntary Fire Society from Melenci - provided selfless help. The rapid reaction of the rescuers prevented the further spread of the fire to the surrounding buildings of this well-known spa.

Despite the efforts made by firefighters, one person died. His body was found after the fire was brought under control.

The cause of this tragedy is currently unknown. An on-site investigation is underway in order to determine all the circumstances and the exact cause of the fire.
