"Ovaj tip je bolestan čovek", rekao je Donald Tramp, predsednik SAD, opisujući osumnjičenog za napad u hotelu u Vašingtonu i otkrivajući da je Kol Tomas Alen ostavio manifest.

Napadač je poslao manifest protiv Trampa članovima svoje porodice oko 10 minuta pre nego što je otvorio vatru na večeri dopisnika iz Bele kuće, izveštava "New York Post".

"Ovaj tip je bolestan čovek kada pročitate njegov manifest", rekao je Tramp i nastavio:

"On mrzi hrišćane, to je sigurno  i mislim da su se njegova sestra ili brat zapravo žalili na to. Čak su se žalili i policiji, bio je veoma problematičan čovek".

Tramp je istakao i da je "veoma zadovoljan" ragovanjem bezbednosnih službi na pucnjavu koja je privukla veliku pažnju javnosti i podsetila na ranije pokušaje da se likvidira predsednik SAD.

Predsednik SAD rekao je da se "sve lepo odvijalo, bilo je veoma prijatno videti" pre nego što je objasnio kako se to pretvorilo u "veoma tužno veče".

"Nije bilo igranja igara. Sinoć je pokazan veliki profesionalizam, jednostavno su ga odmah zaustavili. Nikada nije ni prišao vratima niti prošao kroz njih. Uradili su dobar posao, bio sam veoma zadovoljan time", rekao je Tramp.

Upitan šta zna o osumnjičenom napadaču, Tramp je rekao da Kol tomas Alen "ima velike probleme i da je to veoma loša situacija" nakon što je pročitao njegov manifest.

Tramp je potom ponovo da je pucnjava od sinoć još jednom pokazala koliko je potrebna njegova nova balska sala u Beloj kući.

'This guy is a sick guy': Trump reveals details of 'manifesto' from suspected gunman

We've just heard Donald Trump mention a manifesto from the suspected gunman (see 16:25 post).

Cole Allen sent an anti-Trump manifesto to his family members about 10 minutes before opening fire at the White House correspondents' dinner, the New York Post reports.

"This guy is a sick guy when you read his manifesto," Trump told Fox News.

"He hates Christians, that's one thing for sure... and I think his sister or his brother actually was complaining about it.

"They were even complaining to law enforcement, he was a very troubled guy."

'No games being played': Trump 'very satisfied' with security response to shooting

Donald Trump has been speaking to Fox News after the shooting at the White House correspondents' dinner.

The US president said "the place was coming together, it was very nice to see" before going on to explain how it turned into a "very sad evening".

He praised the Secret Service, saying "there were no games being played".

"Great talent was displayed last night, they just stopped him cold.

"He never came close to getting by the doors or getting through the doors.

"They did a good job, I was very satisfied with it."

Asked about what he knows about the suspected gunman, Trump said Cole Allen has "got some big problems, it's a very bad situation" after reading his manifesto.

"His family knew he had difficulty."

In a similar tone to his Truth Social post earlier (see 14:02 post), Trump said the shooting highlights how badly his new ballroom at the White House is needed.

Trump said the ballroom at the Washington Hilton hotel, where last night's event was held, is under a "very big" hotel. He went on to say his new ballroom project has been "designed at the top level".
