Imagine you are sitting in a pub in Liverpool. There are many different quality beers to choose from, and then you notice a bottle with a red star that dominates the label.

With a closer look, you realize, above the star it says: Red Star, and below it, Partisan.

This is a beer from a small beer brewery, which opened its doors in May of this year. It is located in a part of Liverpool called Formbi, and three men put the idea in motion - Glen, Ian and Dave.

- Ian worked in the IT sector, Dave in a company close to shore, and I was employed with an organization that took care of the homeless. We entered into a midlife crisis, and since we could not afford a costly car, a brewery was somehow logical - said Glen.

Despite the huge similarities with the names of the two largest Serbian football clubs, it turns out that the names of Red Star and Partisan did not have a stake in the inspiration for the name and logo of the brewery.

- We wanted the name to be easy to remember, with a simple logo, and we had a few suggestions. In the end, Red Star won out of the three or four proposals we had left, and we are all happy with this choice - adds Glen.
