SCIENCE FICTION BECOMES REALITY: Veselin Jevrosimovic discovers the traits of 5G technology!

- The development of 5G network has long been underway, and the data transfer of 10 gigabits per second is in preparation phase. That would practically mean that the download of a feature-length film would take less than pronouncing its main actor's name out loud - Veselin Jevrosimović wrote

Nowadays, we cannot imagine everyday life without the mobile internet which provide us connection to the 'net', wherever we are. Although today's 3G and 4G speeds are quite fast, in just a couple of years we will meet the fifth generation which will allow us an amazing 10 gigabits per second data transfer.

Here is what Veselin Jevrosimovic (owner of Comtrade company) thinks about this technology and how is it going to contribute to the mankind.

'It is only when fast wireless networks, followed by Mobile GPRS and 3G were introduced, that we were enabled to use internet and the affirmation of numerous services freely. We were enabled the use of both mass, everyday ones as well as those used in specific areas such as science and technology. Not so long ago I wrote about the need for introduction wide-range internet to the households and companies in Serbia. This was a good way to progress and now we even use that type of network on our mobile phones.

Technological development represents this relentless process and it is only a matter of new ideas, new areas of progress, boosts in the development of hardware and reaching acceptable prices when we will live in times that are now thought of as future. Similar 'future' might happen already in 2020, when the fifth generation wireless network is going to be released. The development of 5G network has long been underway, and the data transfer of 10 gigabits per second is in preparation phase. That would practically mean that the download of a feature-length film would take less than pronouncing its main actor's name out loud.

Still, there are things of far greater importance that 5G technology will open to us. Good example would be car with no need of a driver, where it would only need typing in the traffic data. The entered information would be processed and transferred practically instantly, all in the interest of reaching new safety level. Furthermore, the appliance of so-called virtual and augmented reality is currently limited by the relatively slow data transfer. Besides that, faster data travel via mobile internet is a necessity for smart homes and systems like some electric networks to reach their full potential. Surely we will get faster Facebook and Youtube in the delight of all, but that is of less importance.'
