The police have arrested 53-year-old Belgrader D.M., who yesterday attacked and battered his own sister and a passer-by who tried to protect her, Telegraf.rs has learned.

The man suffered serious head injuries, including a broken nose!

According to witnesses, D.M. attacked his sister in front of a residential building, calling her offensive names, insulting and hitting her.

A man was passing by and tried to help the victim. However, the bully - instead of stopping and calming down - turned to punching and kicking the passer-by.

The doctors concluded that he sustained severe head injuries, including a broken nose.

According to the latest information, D.M., who is in custody, is charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm.

The competent prosecutor's office has been informed about the case.

According to the latest information, the injuries sustained by the man who tried to help are not life-threatening.
