A war of petitions is raging on the internet because of the borders of so-called Kosovo, between the signatories from the Serb and Albanian sides, because the American tech company Apple is showing Kosovo within the borders of Serbia on its application Apple Maps.

On the platform Change.org, a petition soon appeared to present so-called Kosovo as an independent state, entitled "Put Kosovo on  Apple Maps."

The petition currently has over 153,000 signatories, and their number is rapidly increasing.

Another petition soon appeared on the same site to keep Kosovo and Metohija on the map as a part of Serbia.

"Please keep showing Kosovo in this way on Apple Maps. Currently, users can see Kosovo on Apple Maps as part of the Republic of Serbia. According to the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia, Kosovo is a province in Serbia," said the counter-appeal.

That petition so far has fewer signatories - just over 36,000.

However, at the same time, another petition calling for Kosovo and Metohija to continue to be presented as a part of Serbia on Apple Maps appeared on the ipetitions site. That one has over 188,000 signatories.
