The police in the southern town of Nis have arrested a local man, 43-year-old M.M., on charges of sexual harassment because during the month of July, he photographed women by placing a phone under their skirts and dresses.

As we have learned, he moved around shopping malls and cosmetics stores knowing that he could find young women there and take advantage of their lack of attention in order to take inappropriate pictures of them.

"He chose girls and women wearing shorter skirts and dresses, waited for them to turn around, to then place his phone under their clothes. None of them noticed him, and he was eventually discovered thanks to a worker in a cosmetics store who realized what he was doing and called the police. The woman described him well, so by inspecting footage from video surveillance cameras, customers also recognized him, and thanks to intensive operational work of the police, he has been identified," said our sources familiar with this case.

As we have found out, the victims of the pervert found out that they had been photographed in this way only when they were asked to come to the police.

"The women were shocked, they had no idea that they were the target of the pervert. It has not been determined yet whether he further distributed those photos, so the act has been characterized as sexual harassment. Four photos were found in his phone, but it is not ruled out that more women were photographed in this way, which will be determined by examining the device," our interlocutors explained.
