Bus catches on fire near gas station in Banjica: Firefighters intervene, passengers evacuated

The bus was made by the Turkish-Iranian manufacturer AKIA

The bus on line 59 caught on fire this morning near Pet Solitera in the Belgrade neighborhood of Banjica.

Firefighters had to intervene. The precaution while extinguishing the fire was greater considering that there was a gas station in the immediate vicinity.

"At around 9 am, the engine in a bus on line 59 self-ignited. All passengers left the vehicle in time, and firefighters extinguished the fire," we have been told by the consortium of private transport companies.

The bus was made by the Turkish-Iranian manufacturer AKIA.

Traffic was slowed down during the intervention.
