"The District Prosecutor's Office in Negotin submitted a request to conduct an investigation against Tacu, but he fled across the border," the Negotin Higher Public Prosecution told Novosti.
The suspect then fled from Romania to Germany.
In the meantime, an international arrest warrant was issued for the Romanian citizen.
"The Germans arrested him and Tacu has been extradited to Serbia a few days ago, after 19 years of looking for him," the prosecution said.
A trial awaits him, because the case has not reached a statute of limitations.
