The authorities of the provisional institutions in Pristina today once again banned the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, from traveling to the southern province, handing out aid and visiting the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija.

This is the fifth ban since the beginning of the year that Pristina has imposed on Petkovic, who is also the main negotiator with Pristina.

Petkovic was at the Merdare administrative crossing this morning, but his entry was blocked, Tanjug has learned.

The new ban comes just days after the EU asked the Pristina authorities to honor agreements and allow Petkovic entry.

Earlier, Pristina banned Petkovic from entering Kosovo and Metohija on January 13, April 16, September 3 and November 23.
