The Visoki Decani Monastery assessed that the desecration of the Serb Orthodox cemetery in Kisnica is "a sad indicator of ethnic and religious intolerance."

The monastery stated on Twitter that a police investigation is expected into this crime.

"Media in Serbian and Albanian reported about the desecration of the Serbian Orthodox cemetery in Kisnica, in central Kosovo. Several tombstones have been damaged in recent days. This latest crime is a sad indicator of ethnic and religious intolerance. A police investigation is expected," the monastery said.

The Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced previously that eight Serb tombstones were broken in the Orthodox cemetery in the ethnically mixed village of Kisnica, near Gracanica, of which six were completely destroyed and two were damaged.
