The Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) is handing over for use all its property in the territory of North Macedonia to the new, autocephalous church in that country, states the tomos that was read on Saturday in the Cathedral Church after the announcement of the autocephaly of the Macedonian Orthodox Church.

"Holy temples and monasteries, especially shrines from the Nemanjic period and the later period of Serbian presence, church building and cultural creation in the territory of today's North Macedonia, as well as the total movable and immovable property of the SPC, within its borders, are given to use to the new autocephalous sister church," the tomos reads.

The tomos also expressed a "brotherly recommendation" of the MPC to resolve the issue of its name in dialogue with the Hellenic and other local Orthodox churches.
