A large number of citizens gathered in Zvecan this morning to express their protest against the incursion into the municipal building by special units of the Kosovo police seven days ago.

Several thousand people are already present and that number is constantly growing.

Those gathered carry placards with messages saying that they want peace and freedom.

"Why is Kurti aiming a sniper at my child?"; "We are not criminals, we just want freedom"; "You will not drive us out of our own homes"; "We are all Rados and Dusan" (two Serbs arrested recently); "We want peace, not tear gas and stun grenades"; are some of the inscriptions carried by young men in front of the other citizens who gathered, reports Kosovo-online.com.

There are still KFOR members in front of the municipality building, although fewer of them. At the moment, only ten soldiers are behind a fence that separates them from the citizens.

Several (Pristina) special police armored vehicles are parked in front of the municipality building, and the situation is currently calm.
