Montenegro's Milatovic lays wreath at Monument to Unknown Hero, accompanied by Serbian Minister Milos Vucevic

President of Montenegro Jakov Milatovic accompanied by Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Milos Vucevic and Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Army General Milan Mojsilovic on Monday laid a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Hero on Mt. Avala near Belgrade, as part of his official visit to the Republic of Serbia.

After the ceremony, the president of Montenegro wrote in the memorial book:

"My respect and gratitude on behalf of the citizens of Montenegro to all the fallen fighters in the liberation wars who gave their lives in defense of peace and freedom.

Many times throughout history, the peoples of Montenegro and Serbia have stood together, which obligates us to preserve all the values that connect us and base our relations and cooperation on them."

"Together with President of Montenegro Jakov Milatovic I laid a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Hero on Mt. Avala as part of the official visit of President Milatovic to the Republic of Serbia," Minister Vucevic wrote on Instagram.

On Monday, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic formally welcomed Milatovic, who had arrived here on Sunday, which was followed by their meeting, as well as plenary talks between the delegations of Serbia and Montenegro led by the presidents, the Ministry of Defense announced.
