US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar has said that he does not see a lot of goodwill to implement the agreement on the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, but that there has been a lot of escalation.

"Both countries have a road map of what they need to do to implement the agreement immediately. Serbia must introduce recognition of Kosovo into its legislature, the symbols (of Kosovo) and other things. For Kosovo, it is an urgent start of the formation of the ZSO (Community of Serb Municipalities). To date, neither side has worked towards it," Escobar said.

Escobar said that in the last 60 days, efforts were made to prevent the violence in the north Kosovo and Metohija from spreading to the region, which, according to him, was the point of the EU's three-point plan to deescalate tensions.
