Heroic act near Jablanica ends in tragedy: "Father and son saved 10 people, then torrent swept son away..."

Terrible news is coming from Jablanica, a place in southern Bosnia and Herzegovina which has been hit by catastrophic floods and landslides.

Avaz is reporting that at least 15 people have died while more than 20 are missing.

But it is estimated that the number of victims, given the situation on the ground, could be much higher.

According to Avaz, a father and his son fought bravely and managed to save 10 people from the floods, but then the torrent swept the son away.

It is suspected that a large number of people in Jablanica, who were previously thought to have been injured, have in fact died.
