Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin, has wished a happy New Year to all citizens who celebrate the holiday according to the Julian calendar.

"To everyone celebrating Orthodox (Serbian) New Year, I want to remind youo that the year behind us was a year in which we remained worthy of our ancestors and worthy of our descendants, a year in which we safeguarded our honor and our country, a year in which we did not make our enemies happy, and did not let our friends down. Happy our own, Orthodox New Year," Vulin's message stated.
