Minister Djuric organizes lunch, visit and tour of Topola and Oplenac for diplomatic corps
Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Djuric organized lunch in Topola on the occasion of the visit of heads of diplomatic missions and representatives of international organizations in Serbia, as part of the traditional activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs aimed at promoting cultural and historical heritage of Serbia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that representatives of the diplomatic corps visited the historical complex Karadjordjev Grad in Topola, the Church of Sv. Djordje (St. George), the endowment of King Peter I Karadjordjevic, as well as the Royal Winery, one of the symbols of the winemaking tradition of this region.
In addition, they visited the endowment complex in Oplenac, where they had the opportunity to learn about the cultural and spiritual heritage of the Serbian statehood and the Karadjordjevic dynasty, which left a special impression on them.
During the lunch arranged on that occasion, Minister Djuric pointed out that this meeting is an opportunity to present the beauty and potential of Serbia's central Sumadija region.
"Topola and Oplenac are places where the past, tradition and the vision for the future come together, which is the message we want to send - to build relationships based on mutual trust, understanding and cooperation with friends from all over the world," concluded Djuric.
