Serbian Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic on Tuesday received the Order of Honor of the Republic of Angola, with which the president of that African country, Joao Manuel Lourenco, posthumously awarded the former Yugoslav leader Josip Broz Tito!

Dacic announced this in a post on Instagram.

"The Order of Honor of the Republic of Angola, with which the President of the Republic of Angola, Joao Manuel Lourenco, awarded Josip Broz Tito (president of Yugoslavia) posthumously for his services in the fight for Angola's independence, as well as for the consolidation of peace and development of the country."

Dacic was in Angola as an envoy of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, where attended the central event marking the anniversary of the independence of Angola, and on that occasion said that there is great mutual respect and friendship between the two countries, which is why Angola adheres firmly to its position in favor of Serbia's territorial integrity.

After a parade held in the Dr. Antonio Agostinho Neto memorial complex, Dacic said that our country and Angola are great friends and pointed out that it was a great honor that the representatives of Angola thought to award the medal to Josip Broz Tito 50 years after gaining independence, for his contribution and the contribution of Yugoslavia at the time of Angola's struggle for liberation.
