Two dead bodies were found today in a concrete canal next to the main Cacak-Pozega road, in a car that had driven off the road during a traffic accident.

It is suspected that these the missing 20-year-old student Ana Radovic and her friend, who was driving the Audi they were found in.

Details of the discovery

The car was found stuck in a canal not far from the town of Cacak. Citizens were the first to spot the vehicle, after which they immediately alerted the police and emergency services.

The investigation is underway, as emergency services are pulling out the car and the bodies in order to determine all the circumstances of the accident.

"During the investigation, it will be determined under what circumstances the car left the road. The autopsies will determine the cause of death," our source said.

According to our reporter, a crane has arrived at the scene that will pull out the car with the bodies of the two young people.

The disappearance and the search

The disappearance of Ana Radovic was reported three days ago, on November 23, when the student left Mt. Zlatibor for Belgrade. Her last contact with her family was at 18:45 that day.

Her father, Milos Radovic, previously told Blic that after the last call she had with her brother, Ana's phone was online for another 13 to 14 hours.

The father at the time doubted that a traffic accident had occured, stating: "I think the likelihood that she had a traffic accident is low" - citing the information he received information from the police that no traffic accidents were reported in the area on the day of the disappearance.

Yesterday, the police already investigated whether there is a connection between the disappearance of the young woman and the discovery of the crashed car, something that was unfortunately confirmed today.
