Minister Mesarovic voices support for Selakovic, says pressure will not stop his fight for truth

Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarovic expressed her full support for Minister of Culture Nikola Selakovic, stating that "pressure, lies and political subterfuge by the gang made up of blockaders (anti-government protesters) and prosecutors will not stop his fight for truth and justice."

In a post on Instagram, she stated that Minister Selakovic has always acted responsibly, in line with the laws of our country and served his people and country honorably.

"We continue to fight for an even stronger and more advanced Serbia," said Mesarovic.

Minister of Culture of Serbia Nikola Selakovic was on Wednesday at the Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime (JTOK), where he was served with a summons for questioning.

After that, Selakovic stated that he would appear at the JTOK at the time they scheduled in the order, "to expose the blockader criminal gang that has usurped a part of the prosecutor's office, and the political activity directly ordered from abroad."

Selakovic was also at JTOK the day before, at 4 p.m., after reports said that JTOK had ordered that he be brought in for questioning - but he was told that the prosecutors were not in the building as their working day had ended.

Some media previously reported that Selakovic was a suspect in the Generalstab ("General Staff") case.
