Culture Minister of Serbia Nikola Selakovic to be questioned by Organized Crime Prosecution tomorrow afternoon
Minister of Culture Nikola Selakovic was at the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime (JTOK) today, where he received a summons for questioning.
Tanjug has learned that this is scheduled for tomorrow starting at 17:00.
Before going into the Prosecutor's Office, Selakovic said that "some people are trying to use this story and this fabricated issue" to gain public attention.
“You know, it's their tried-and-tested policy of constant lies. They come up with one lie, you prove they're lying, they move on to another lie without looking back at what they've already done. That's how it was with the Jovanjica case, regarding President Vicic and that thing with cocaine, supposedly (packages) with his likeness, and it turned out to be the president of another country from the other side of the world. That's absolutely how it is with everything. That's how it is with those 55 million of Aleksic's and the National Employment Service,” Selakovic said.
He stressed that no honorable, normal, and decent person who loves Serbia, who fights for Serbia, and who lives for Serbia is afraid of their lies. Instead, such people fight against them and prove that them to be liars, the minister addded.
"The only problem is these liars used to be in the opposition, but now those are also, to a large extent, in certain institutions, such as the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime. And that is exactly why I came here - to fight against those lies, because I'm not afraid of them. I fear only God, and that's it," he said.
Selakovic was also at the Prosecutor's Office yesterday, after some media outlets reported that JTOK had ordered that he be brought in for questioning. However, he was told that the prosecutors were not in the building because their workday had ended.
Some media reported previously that Selakovic is a suspect in the Generalstab ("General Staff") case.
