In Serbia, the majority population is Eastern Orthodox, and will celebrate the holiday on January 7, according to the Julian calendar.
"Congratulations on Christmas Eve and tomorrow's great holiday. I wish you good health and all the best," Vucic said during a bus ride on the section of the E-761 highway, on the route of the Morava Corridor where he today attended the opening of the Vrba Loop.
The Roman Catholic Church, Protestant churches, as well as some Orthodox churches that have accepted the Gregorian calendar are marking Christmas Eve today ahead of Christmas, the feast of the birth of Jesus Christ.
