Another frosty morning dawned in Serbia on Wednesday. However, this time it was also overcast across the country.

Temperatures dropped to -10 degrees Celsius this morning, in places even lower, while it warmed up the most in central Serbia, so it was 0°C in Kragujevac.

The coldest this morning was in Negotin with -11°C, in Sjenica, Subotica, Zrenjanin and Kikinda it was -10°C, in Novi Sad, Sombor and Pozega -9°C.

Mountains Kopaonik and Zlatibor measured -6, Belgrade -4, while the highs were reported in Banatski Karlovac, Kragujevac and Smederevska Palanka, -3°C - and Veliko Gradiste with -1°C.

The anticyclone is increasingly weakening and the drop of air pressure is an introduction into a change of weather due to the strengthening of cyclones from the south and the Mediterranean.

It will be cloudy in Serbia today, and get warmer as the day progresses.

Snow is expected in the south and southwest of Serbia, especially in Kosovo and Metohija, in the Pcinja District, the Pester Plateau and on the mountains, while sleet is forecast for the southeast of Serbia.

1 to 5 centimeters of snow are likely to form in those areas where it will snow.

On Thursday, precipitation may occur in the south and east of Serbia.

The weekend is expected to be rainy, but also warmer.

Unlike the current ice-cold Kosava wind, a strong but warm Kosava will blow over the weekend.

The maximum temperature will be up to 12°C.

Although in the previous days there was talk of a possible cold snap at the end of January, today's forecasts are not suggesting that - meaning there would be no significant cooling or snowfall in this period of time in Serbia.
