Vucic: We are very concerned about forming of military alliances against Serbia in our neighborhood
President Aleksandar Vucic was today in the Guard House in Belgrade where he attended a briefing on the results of the analysis of the state, operational and functional capabilities of the Serbian Army for 2025, and said that he is very satisfied with the results.
At the same time, Vucic added that there is concern about the formation of military alliances in our environment against Serbia, which is why the defense capacities of our country have been drastically increased.
"We are very worried about the formation of military alliances in our environment against Serbia and accordingly we are acting responsibly, seriously, not provoking anyone, but wanting to deter anyone who might commit aggression against our country. Our air force and air defense capacities have also been drastically and dramatically increased. And in the years to come, especially, there will be all the other systems, in all other segments of the Serbian Army and its branches," Vucic told reporters after the meeting.
The president pointed out that he is very satisfied with the results achieved by the Serbian Army.
"In order for the people, for the citizens of Serbia to know, it seems to me that they will understand everything based on these numbers - we have a record allocation of somewhere around 2.65 percent of GDP for the defense and security system, even a bit more, however not in the most direct way, but out of that large amount of money, what is most interesting - as much as 54.1 percent are investments," said Vucic.
