An explosive device was thrown at a villa in Belgrade's exclusive Dedinje neighborhood owned by legendary Yugoslav and Serbian pop star Zdravko Colic last night.

After the news appeared in the media that his former manager Adis Gojak, who lives next door, may have been the target - Gojak reacted.

"I don't really know about that story that I was the target. I haven't heard, I hope not. I haven't heard from Zdravko," he told Blic.

Zdravko Colic was at home with his wife and younger daughter when an explosive device was thrown at his villa.

The police blocked the approach to the artist's home in Dedinje.

While the police and the prosecutor from the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office are still investigating in front of Zdravko Colic's villa, details are coming to light that shed a completely new light on the whole case.

Creepy theory: Colic as collateral damage?

According to initial unofficial information from the ground, the possibility that the attacker found themselves in the wrong yard is being intensively investigated.

Given that the famous singer has enjoyed the status of a man without a single stain of any controversy for decades, investigators suspect that the target was actually one of the neighbors from the surrounding villas. The police said they would interview them.

"At the moment, the movement of the attackers and data from mobile phone base stations are being examined. There are indications that the target was a nearby object, and that the hand grenade was thrown onto Cola's (Colic's) property by mistake, in the dark," said a source close to the investigation.
