Australian company Strickland Metals has announced new results of the drilling at its Rogozna project near Novi Pazar, which shows that gold mineralization at the Gradina deposit extends well beyond the previous estimates.

The previous assessment was about 37 tons of gold, while the new drilling suggests that the actual range of the deposit exceeds that, although the company has not yet issued an updated quantitative assessment, Australian press is reporting. Special attention was paid to the so-called gap zone, the space between the northern and southern areas of the deposit, which was previously considered less mineralized.

Australian sources state that results from this zone yielded long and high-quality gold sections, confirming that the zones are interconnected and form a single system.

Mineralization remains open in all directions, including towards the surface, indicating additional potential for resource expansion.

The management of Strickland Metals is quoted as stating that the new drilling confirmed a geological model and expectations of further growth of the deposit, especially in the central part of the system.

Rogozna is located within the Tethyan Orogenic Belt. The project covers several deposits that includes other metals, such as copper and silver, which further increases its potential, while Gradina is singled out as a key segment due to the high gold content and favorable geometry of the deposit, suitable for future exploitation, writes eKapija.
