Aleksandar Vulin: I wish Sinisa Karan to be the last president of RS as part of Bosnia and Herzegovina
RS Senator Aleksandar Vulin today congratulated SNSD candidate Sinisa Karan on his victory in the repeated presidential elections in the Serb Republic (RS, the Serb entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH), and wished him to be the last president of RS whilel it is a part of BiH.
He added that he wishes President Karan to restore the faith in the institutions.
"I wish President Karan to restore the shaken faith in the institutions, to along with the RS National Assembly call a referendum on the status of the RS, and on the decisions imposed by (international representative) Schmidt, to resist any pressure from Sarajevo and the European Union to diminish RS, and to be last president of RS as part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The process of unification (with Serbia) has started and cannot be stopped," Vulin said.
Last night, the Party of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) declared its candidate's victory in the repeated elections.
Addressing journalists Sinisa Karan said that his victory defends the sovereignty of the Serb people and their right to decide for themselves, adding that these elections were "a clear response of the people to the attempts to abuse judicial institutions".
