Aleksandar Vucic congratulates Sinisa Karan, the new presidet of the Serb Republic (RS)
President Aleksandar Vucic has congratulated Sinisa Karan on his election as president of the Serb Republic (RS, Serb entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina)!
"My heartfelt congratulations to Sinisa Karan on his election as president of the RS. I am convinced that you will perform your new duty with the dedication of a wise and responsible leader. The obligation stemming from being elected by the people is the greatest, the most difficult and the most sacred for each of us," Vucic stated in a post on X, and added:
"Times are difficult, and our nation faces enormous challenges. Serbia will always be with the RS, ready to expand cooperation and work in a dedicated manner to strengthen ties in all areas that benefit our people and all citizens."
According to unofficial data, Karan won twice as many votes in the repeated elections than he did in the ballot held last November. The Electoral Commission announced that 41,826 people (49.51 percent) voted.
