Two people were injured in an explosion that occurred at a fast food kiosk in Podsused in Zagreb, Croatia, shortly before 08:00 this morning.

The Zagreb police said that the cause was most likely a gas leak. The severity of the injuries is not yet known, and the investigation into the explosion in Stara Samoborska Street is ongoing.

Workers were sitting close to the location in shock, and parts of the building ended up on nearby parked cars and at the train station, said one reader of the 24sata.hr portal.

"I was going to get bread at a nearby bakery and suddenly an explosion was heard. We all looked at each other, and the next thing we saw, the roof of that small facility was at the train station, the (kiosk) was gone. I went there, and a guy from a nearby building said that two people had been inside. I saw them sitting next to it, they were visibly in shock. They were the workers, they told me that they smelled gas when they came in, then they turned on the ventilation, and then everything blew up. Parts of the facility fell onto the cars that were parked nearby. One guy had visible burns, but I don't think it's anything serious," stated the reader of that portal.
