President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic today came out today in front of the Presidency building in Belgrade to personally talk to those gathered to protest, among whom were disgruntled workers from the city transport company, GSP.

Although the arrival of the president among the gathered citizens was initially greeted by boos, the situation soon turned into an open conversation. Vucic listened to those present and officially received a list of their demands.

In a post on the official Instagram account "buducnostsrbijeav", the president stresed the importance of direct communication.

"I went out in front of the protesters who came in front of the Presidency of Serbia and talked to them. Some GSP workers greeted me with whistles, but I was happy that I could still talk to them," he wrote.

The president announced that institutions will urgently respond to the problems presented to him. According to Vucic the procedure to analyze the workers' demands has already been initiated in cooperation with the city authorities.

"On this occasion as well it turns out that we can solve problems through conversation, dialogue," Vucic concluded Vucic.
