"We are currently conducting negotiations on the sale of the shares. It's a complex business that requires time to reach an agreement. The process continues," Dyukov told Gazprom Neft's annual shareholders' meeting, according to Russian media.
The US Treasury Department's Office for Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) extended until July 1 the license given to Hungary's MOL to negotiate the purchase of the Russian stake in NIS.
OFAC at the same time extended the operating license given to NIS, also until July 1, which allows the company to continue processing crude oil.
The previous licenses - operational and for aquisition negotiations - were valid until June 16.
