Heatwave to bring 40 degrees, followed by COOLING! Thunder and hailstorms coming to Serbia next
A hot weekend is behind us, when temperatures reached up to 37 degrees Celsius. The heat dome will bring even hotter weather and a peak of the current heatwave to Serbia in the next two days.
Maximum temperatures will be up to 40 degrees this Monday and tomorrow.
The heat will be accompanied by very high levels of UV radiation.
From 10:00 until 16:00, citizens are advised not to be exposed to the sun for more than 10 minutes without adequate protection.
Extreme caution is also necessary to avoid the risk of heatstroke.
Vehicles should be aired regularly and citizens are advised not to start trips during the hottest part of the day.
The temperature difference between air conditioned spaces and the outside environment should not be more than 10 degrees, to avoid shock to the body.
When going for a swim, this should not be done suddenly, for the same reason.
Already on Tuesday there will be conditions for localized showers with thunder, and for storms and thunderstorms in some areas.
The weather will be unstable on Wednesday, occasionally with showers and thunderstorms, while hailstorms are also possible.
Temperatures will drop on Wednesday but it will still be hot, around 35 degrees.
Significantly cooler and more pleasant weather is expected on Thursday.
Compared to the previous days, it will be cooler by 10 degrees, with maximum temperatures remaining below 30 degrees.
Thunderstorms are forecast for this period, with the possibility of hailstorms, gale-force winds, and heavy downpour.
Towards the end of next week, the weather will turn noticeably more pleasant, bringing temperatures that are average for the beginning of July in Serbia.
