HORROR SCENES NEAR RUMA: Truck disappears in flames, driver BURNS ALIVE as two trucks collide head-on

A terrible tragedy took place this morning around 07:00 on the road between Ruma and Irig in northern Serbia when, according to initial information, a man lost his life in a horrific way, while another was seriously injured. This is the result of a head-on collision of two trucks.

Telegraf reporters at the site describe a horror scene. Only a charred wreck remained of the truck that caught on fire after the violent crash. Black soot is visible on the road, and at one point the body of the driver who died was still lying next to the wrecked truck.

Firefighters prevented even greater disaster

All emergency services immediately rushed to the scene of this serious traffic accident. The second truck suffered extensive damage, leaving the driver trapped in the crumpled metal.

An even greater tragedy was prevented by the quick and extremely efficient reaction of the firefighters-rescuers, who cut through the crushed cabin and were able to pull the driver out before his vehicle was engulfed in flames.

The man was in serious condition having suffered life-threatening injuries and was immediately transported to the hospital for resuscitation.

Traffic at complete standstill

Traffic was at a complete standstill on this part of the road between Ruma and Irig as of Tuesday morning, with the police diverting drivers to alternative routes. The police and an on-duty prosecutor are investigating to determine what caused to this horrific accident, while fire crews continue to secure the scene.
