Vucic: I didn't urge boycott of Croatian tourist spots, I just prefer Kokin Brod in Serbia

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said today that he did not call for a boycott of Hvar and Brac, as reported by the media in Croatia, but that he did say Kokin Brod in Serbia is more beautiful to him.

"I did not call for a boycott of either Hvar or Brac. I said that Kokin Brod is more beautiful to me than Hvar, Brac and all the rest. So what, should I say that I prefer Hvar and Brac, which I saw last 40 years ago? Kokin Brod is a hundred times more beautiful to me, and Uvac Lake is more beautiful to me, Radoinja Lake is more beautiful to me, everything in Serbia is more beautiful to me than there. I did not call for any kind of boycott," Vucic told reporters during a tour of the works on the Kaona-Luke road, when asked to comment on Croatian media reports.

Vucic pointed out that he only said that Kokin Brod is nicer to him and that there's a better time to be had there, and added that he does not understand why he is being attacked.

"I don't understand half of those attacks at all. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, or however you want to put it, I really don't understand. Why do you think I'm going to tell you that Bodrum, Hvar, or Brac or anywhere else is more beautiful to me?," Vucic asked.

President Vucic is visiting the southwest of Serbia, and on Monday he published a video from Kokin Brod on Instagram and captioned it, "Party on Brac, Hvar, in Athens or Bodrum... None of that... This is Kokin Brod, Zlatibor, Serbia. Long live Serbia!".
