Vucic's message to Putin on his birthday: "I am convinced we'll continue to strengthen Serbia-Russia ties"
The leader of the "Aleksandar Vucic - United Serbia" electoral list, Aleksandar Vucic, today congratulated President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on his upcoming birthday today and expressed his belief that they will continue to strengthen relations between Serbia and Russia.
"I appreciate the words of support that you recently addressed to me personally, but also the support that the Russian Federation provides to the Republic of Serbia and its interests in international organizations," Vucic stated in the message, which he also posted on the "avucic" Instagram account.
Vucic especially expressed his gratitude for Putin's long-standing understanding of Serbia's needs to have a stable and reliable supply of gas, under favorable conditions.
"I am convinced that going forward, we will continue to strengthen relations between Serbia and Russia, based on mutual respect, understanding and traditional friendship between our peoples, as well as that we will contribute to the further improvement of cooperation in areas of mutual interest, through joint efforts," wrote Vucic.
He wished Putin good health, personal happiness and success in fulfilling the responsibilities of high public office.
President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin was born on October 7, 1952.
