Divac will remain in office in the Olympic Committee of Serbia by the end of the next Olympic cycle, which ends after the Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

In the new role, Divac, 47, will advise majority owner Vivek Ranadive, general manager Pete D'alessandro and head coach George Karl.

"It is a great honor to be back in the city that gave me an unforgettable life experience. Sacramento Kings have always been in my thoughts and I have always wanted a role in this club. I am grateful for this opportunity", said Divac.

Divac was one of the first Europeans to play in the NBA League, where he spent 16 years successfully defending the colors of Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte and Sacramento.

Divac was the captain of Sacramento (along with Chris Webber) in the period from 1999 to 2005, which is considered the most successful period in the history of the club.
