STARING DEATH IN THE FACE: Famed singer with his wife and son (3) landed in the river with their car!

Singer Sasa Kapor and his wife and colleague Nikolina Kovač survived, along with their son Nikolaj (3), a car accident, when they drove off the road and landed in the river, in Drinjača near Zvornik.

Kapor, as learned by Kurir, swerved to avoid a direct collision with a van that went into their lane but the gravel pulled his Mercedes, and they tumbled into the Drina.

Fortunately, local fishermen who were fishing nearby immediately rushed to their aid, and barely managed to pull them out of the car window.

- We heard a bang when the car plunged into the river. It was creepy. The child, who was tied to to his seat, was screaming as his father and mother struggled to get him out. Fortunately, the window was open, and Sasa put their son on Nikolina's lap, and then she handed him to us through the window and we got him to the coast by boat, and they swam for us. It happened instantly, and literally seconds were concerned when we were fighting for their lives - in one breath recounted one of the villagers.

Nikolina, still in shock, said:

- We stared death in the face. It all happened within five minutes, it was like a horror movie.

Sasa interjected, commenting that he sustained minor injuries, and with a comment:

- We will celebrate this date as a second birthday. God was watching over us. Immense gratitude to the people who helped and saved our lives.
