Salafi jihadists scream it when they shoot innocent civilians, when they cut off people’s heads, before blowing themselves up on a bus or train, before knocking their planes in the target, before blowing themselves up in full synagogue, church or Shiite mosque. But its meaning has nothing to do with violence. On the contrary, Takbeer is a term in the Arabic language and in the Islamic world is used for the phrase "Allahu akbar," which is usually translated as "God is great", "Allah is great" or "Allah is the greatest"
