The father of a talented Buducnost Podgorica basketball player, Andrija Vukovic - who was rumored to be transferring from the national team of Montenegro to the ranks of the national team of Serbia - has strongly condemned the Basketball Federation of Montenegro.

Vladimir Vukovic took to Facebook, and - in addition to sharing the news that the Montenegrin Federation was preventing his son from moving io the ranks of the Eagles (Orlovi - the nickname for Serbian national sport squards) - he also had a number of choice words to say at the organization's expense.

"Here's what people from the Basketball Federation of Montenegro are prepared to do to hurt a child of 14 and temporarily prevent him from playing for Serbia at the European Championship. They did this on purpose and out of impotence, aware that Andrija would still be licensed by FIBA as a Serbian player in the next few months. I cannot say that this serves your honor, because one must first have honor, and now let me show you the backbone of the Vukovic family and what it means to have character."

"We despise you as a family, and now remember this promise - at least once a thunderous message to the Serbs in Montenegro, but also to you, you disgusting cockroaches, will be heard from the balcony of the City of Belgrade," Vukovic wrote, referring to the way Serbia's sporting successes are celebrated from the balcony of the City Assembly of Belgrade.

"Until then, I will testify the truth about you, get ready, I am ready," Vukovic concluded his direct message to individuals from the Montenegrin Basketball Federation.

Basketball connoisseurs from the region consider the young basketballer, who is 198 centimeters tall, to be one of the most talented players to emerge in Montenegro in the last decade. He has already won the Montenegrin championship as a member of the Podgorica-based Buducnost.

Andrija Vukovic will have the right to play for the junior team of Montenegro until the end of this year, and will then join Serbia's youth squad.

It is also interesting to note that Vukovic, despite being a Buducnost player, has a photo of himself in Belgrade's Red Star jersey on his Facebook profile.
