President Aleksandar Vucic has welcomed Serbia's golden volleyball team at the Presidency, receiving them after they won the gold medal at the European Championships in Paris.
Vucic thanked the athletes for representing their country in the best possible way, emphasized that they would be financially rewarded for their great success, and wished them to muster the strength to secure participation in the Olympic Games.

How happy Vucic was for the success of the volleyball players was evident in his gesture, which has not been seen so far.
Namely, after making his address, Vucic turned to the players led by coach Slobodan "Boba" Kovac and bowed before them.
"Slobodan, as you bowed before them, so I bow before you to say a big thank you for making that much effort. People don't understand that, because they think you just come in and hit that ball. I saw Marko and Nemanja with their kids, may they be healthy and happy and may you be spending as much time with them as possible. I just want to ask you not to run out of motives. Please, the expert staff and all of you guys fight for the Olympic Games and bring us two Olympic medals from Tokyo - together with the girls (the women's team)," Vucic said.
The volleyball players, on behalf of Captain Nemanja Petric, gave Vucic a jersey signed by the entire team.
