"The Most Beautiful Serbian Welder" brings important award to Telegraf.rs crew for TV reportage
"This is the first time that a video format from an online television has received this prestigious award," says our Ivana
The reportage "The Most Beautiful Serbian Welder" by a Telegraf TV team consisting of Ivana Nedic (journalist), Dejan Timotijevic (cameraman) and Marija Antonijevic (editing) has taken third place in very tough competition in the category of TV reportage, at the International Reportage and Media Festival - INTERFER Golden NIKA 2019.
This worthy recognition is all the more important because for the first time in the history of journalism in Serbia, a video format from an online television has finally been recognized as being of high quality, and has received such an award.
"I am glad that the jury of INTERFER recognized the quality of the reportage and included it among one of the main awards of the festival. I'm especially proud because this is the first time that a video format from an online television has received this prestigious award," says our Ivana Nedic, adding that the reportage would not be what it is without cameraman Dejan Timotijevic and editor Marija Antonijevic.
Divna Radosavljevic, INTERFER festival's PR, points out that the reportage "The Most Beautiful Serbian Welder" has opened the door to other such formats.
"Each year we expand the festival, trying to include many different formats and give the opportunity to the best reportages from all media to participate in the competition. We expect other online news reportages to be submitted to INTERFER this year," she says.
The International Reportage and Media Festival - INTERFER Golden NIKA 2019 brought together authors and best reporters, laureates, previous winners and numerous friends of the festival for the 24th time in a row - and a crew from our portal was among the best!
Within the five competition categories - television, print media, radio, photo and socially responsible reportage, general values such as originality, journalistic courage and social influence were the guidelines in selecting the best works, which this year once again received valuable awards, including the highest - the Golden NIKA statue.
INTERFER's Grand Prix, the top award, was given to Jovan Uhrin for his reportage "The Emergency Night's Dream" about the importance of organ donation and transplantation, while Budimir Nicic from Voice of America received the top prize in the TV reportage category for "Reforestation of Calves." The second place is shared by RTS journalist Visnja Visnjic-Milic and TV Vranje journalist Lolica Popovic.
