Leaders of the Self-Determination Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Albin Kurti and Isa Mustafa, met again but failed to agree on a final coalition agreement, Pristina portal Zeri has learned.

LDK MP Valentina Bunjaku confirmed that the meeting had taken place yesterday, that the two side's positions moved closer, but that there has been no agreement yet.

Zeri learned that a new meeting between Kurti and Mustafa will be held today.

Kurti confirmed his contacts with LDK representatives yesterday.

"Contacts and meetings have not stopped and they continue. They were never interrupted and today we had contact, these meetings are not the news, the news will be the result of negotiations and we look forward to it more than you do," said Kurti.

It has been nearly three months since early parliamentary elections were held in Kosovo, and now two days remain until the constituent session of the Pristina Assembly.

Self-Determination and the LDK pledged to reach an agreement immediately after the election results were confirmed, but this has not happened so far.

As the parties fail to reach a deal, the international community recently stepped up pressure to form government institutions as soon as possible, Zeri said.
