World Economic Forum starts in Davos: Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic is participating

At the forum of world economic leaders, President Vucic will participate in the session "Diplomatic Dialogue on the Western Balkans"

The annual World Economic Forum begins today in the Swiss winter resort of Davos, with the participation of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

President Vucic, who will be in Davos today and tomorrow, will attend the official opening ceremony of the Forum and the presentation by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, as well as a session to be addressed by US President Donald Trump, the Serbian president's press service said.

At the forum of world economic leaders, President Vucic will participate in the session "Diplomatic Dialogue on the Western Balkans."

President Vucic is also scheduled to address a panel called "Generating Growth for Central and Eastern Europe."

During his two-day stay in Davos, President Vucic will also have a series of bilateral meetings with world officials, businessmen and representatives of financial institutions, the statement said.

Climate change and action are the main topics of this year's gathering, and one of the most important panels is "Preventing the Climate Apocalypse."

The gathering, which will last until January 24, will see participation from some of the world's largest companies, while the organizers of the Forum will ask all of them to commit to achieving net zero carbon footprint by 2050 or earlier.
