Painful death notices of Marina's family, whom gendarme Pavle murdered: We'll keep your memory

Educator Marina Petkovic, 28, who was blown up by a hand grenade by gendarme Pavle Rakonjac, 31, will be buried today at the New Cemetery in Nova Pazova.

Since Tuesday, January 21, when the news broke early in the morning that Rakonjac had blown himself up along with her, Marina's loved ones, relatives and friends are saying goodbye to their beloved one.

They also did this through the death announcements published in newspapers this morning.

In addition to information when she passed away and when she will be buried, father Ljubomir, mother Marica, brother Milan and grandmother Cvita wrote in immense pain:

"We will forever cherish the memory of your noble character and kindness. Rest in peace, may the angels guard you. In immense pain, your loved ones: father Ljubomir, mother Marica, brother Milan and grandmother Cvita," said one single note.

In this way, her ncle, aunts and brothers also said goodbye to Marina.

"You will forever be in our hearts. Rest in peace."

According to her acquaintances, she worked at a kindergarten in Stara Pazova for several years, where she allegedly met Pavle, whose children attended this preschool. According to them, fathers or mothers would come up to pick up their children. After many years working in this kindergarten in Stara Pazova, in September 2019 Marina suddenly leaves it and moves to her her hometown.

Unofficially, she got a job there at a local kindergarten, where she stayed for four months, and less than a month ago, she moved to a kindergarten close to her family home. The acquaintances suspect that she did this so that she would not see Pavle again.

Reportedly, Marina had left her long-time boyfriend because of Pavle, but he did not want to divorce his wife because of her. On the fateful day, he took the unfortunate girl to the nearly abandoned Old Military Road and where he activated a hand grenade killinh them both.

Pavle will be buried in Stara Pazova.
