Twitter has suspended the account of Serbian Radical Party (SRS) leader Vojislav Seselj for what it said were violations of its rules.

Over the last few days, Seselj was involved in a polemic on the social network with those holding different politician views and with his political opponents, writing posts that, according to reactions of other users of this network, had elements of hate speech.

Thus, When Serbian Assembly member from People's Party, NS, Sandra Raskovic Ivic went to Twitter to say goodbye and praise journalist Dragoljub Zarkovic, who passed away recently, Seselj responded with curses, saying they were "both traitors."

Ivic's party chief Vuk Jeremic welcomed the suspension of Seselj's account on Twitter and thanked everyone who reported Seselj's profile over the previous 24 hours.
