4 more people tested for coronavirus in Serbia: All tests come back negative

The Ministry of Health's website as well as the covid19.rs site are publishing reports every day at 8 am and 6 pm about the latest information regarding coronavirus in Serbia

There are still no coronavirus cases in Serbia, four more people have been tested today, all tests came back negative.

According to the latest information posted by the Ministry of Health on its website this morning, samples were taken from another four people by 8 am today who, like all the others, tested negative for COVID-19.

"There have been no cases of the novel coronavirus in Serbia," the Ministry of Health website states.

In total, 20 people have been tested for this virus in Serbia so far, and fortunately, no cases have been confirmed.

By February 25, 2020, 14 people suspected of having contracted coronavirus were tested at the National Reference Laboratory of the Torlak Institute, while yesterday, February 26, two more were tested. Everyone was negative.

The Ministry of Health is asking all travelers coming from areas of ​​intense transmission of the virus to call 064 8945 235 if they have symptoms of respiratory illness with fever.

"Countries or parts of them where a large number of cases for which it is not possible to determine the chain of transmission are considered an area of ​​intense transmission of the virus. Currently, areas of intense virus transmission are China, South Korea, Singapore, Japan, Iran and Italy as well as the cruise ship Diamond Princess which is anchored in the port of Yokohama, Japan," the ministry said.

Coronavirus first appeared in Wuhan, in China's Hubei province, on December 7, 2019. During this month, the virus spread to Europe and the countries in our region.
