Dr. Kon: Forecasts went up to 2,000 dead

Epidemiologist Predrag Kon, a member of the Crisis HQ set up to fight coronaviruss, said on Happy TV last night that at least 800 people would have died from this disease in Serbia unless a state of emergency had been introduced.

"The model showed 800 dead for us, the upper limit was more than 2,000, so we had to introduce a state of emergency. I personally knew how the pandemic plans were being developed, and we all knew that, both Pelemis and Stevanovic, and all of us as a system, were not unprepared. We were unprepared regarding protective equipment and medicines," said Dr. Kon.
