Alabbar, Vucic and Mali tour Belgrade Waterfront: Tallest building in the Balkans is nearly done

"Every time I come, Belgrade Waterfront is more and more beautiful," said Mohamed Alabbar, president of Eagle Hills, the company that is building Belgrade Waterfront.

He said that people with such projects are brave, and used the opportunity, as he said, to thank everyone who is building this and similar projects.

"I am proud of this construction site because 150,000 square meters have already been done and another 750,000 square meters are under construction. The most important thing is that today we have 2,530 workers in one place, on this construction site. That makes Belgrade Waterfront one of the largest construction sites in the world, incomparable with anything in Eastern Europe," Vucic pointed out.

"I believe that we will open a shopping mall in October. Negotiations are underway with Louis Vuitton and I believe that we can use that chance," he added.

He recalled that the Belgrade Tower will have 41 floors with an observation deck and will be by far the most visited spot in Belgrade.

"It will make for not only five or six percent of tourist visits to the city, but maybe 40, 50 percent," he said and added that it will be the most beautiful place in Belgrade.

Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali yesterday welcomed the Eagle Hills chairman, Mohamed Alabbar, after which they took a walk on the Belgrade Waterfront promenade.
